Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1 March 2026

1. Our Commitment

MerchNique Technologies Private Limited is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our website and mobile application inclusive.

2. Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and define how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Compliance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.

3. What We're Doing

MerchNique is taking the following steps toward accessibility:

  • Semantic HTML: Using proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA attributes
  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard (Tab, Enter, Escape)
  • Colour Contrast: Maintaining sufficient colour contrast ratios for text readability
  • Alt Text: Providing descriptive alt text for product images and design mockups
  • Form Labels: All form fields include associated labels for screen readers
  • Responsive Design: Content adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
  • Focus Indicators: Visible focus indicators for all interactive elements
  • Error Identification: Form errors are clearly identified and described in text

4. Mobile Application

The MerchNique Android application follows Android Accessibility best practices, including support for TalkBack screen reader, adequate touch target sizes (minimum 48dp), content descriptions for images, and support for system font scaling.

5. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, certain areas are still being improved:

  • • Some product mockup images may have limited alt text descriptions
  • • Certain third-party embeds (payment gateways, map widgets) may have limited accessibility
  • • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible

We are actively working to address these limitations.

6. Indian Compliance

MerchNique complies with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act) and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) accessibility standards, as applicable to digital platforms operating in India.

7. US Compliance

For US users, MerchNique is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III as applied to websites and digital services, as well as Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act where applicable.
